![]()     So what happens when Jesus returns (at his appearing)? ...He shall judge the quick and the dead. So now we can safely put the two visual displays in figure 3 together. We now see that when Jesus returns He shall judge the quick and the dead (II Tim. 4:1 and St. John 12:48). We also see the resurrection in St. John 6:39,40,44, and 54; and in St. John 11:24 and I Corinthians 15:52 and I Thess. 4:15-17. Now let's put it all together.
Revelation 22:12 ...And behold I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Matthew 16:27 ...For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Luke 14:12 ...Then said he also to him that bade him, when thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompense be made thee 13. But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: 14. And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.     Now it is shown that when Jesus returns he brings his rewards with him, to give to every man according to his works. So we see the resurrection, the judgement, and the rewards. The Bible says that all this will be on the Last Day.
Rev. 6:16 ...and said to the mountains and rocks, fall on us and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the lamb: Isaiah 2:19 ... and they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
II Thess. 1: verses...
Actually, there are two short subjects covered here. Beginning with Rev. 6:16. and said to the mountains and rocks, fall on us and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne... Isaiah 2:19 ... for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. Matt. 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:... Isaiah 34:4 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree. Rev. 6:14 ..And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. Mark 13:25 ...And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. Luke 21:26 ...men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: For the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
